As a Sonographer at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston, you'll provide good quality examinations on patients using various ultrasound equipment. The Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve. This position supports the mission, vision and philosophy of CHI and St. Alexius Health-Williston Medical Center.

Every day,  you will perform various tests on patients.  You’ll apply your independent judgment relative to all technical imaging procedures for patients.

Responsibilities
  • Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.
  • Correctly operates ultrasound equipment within scope of practice.
  • Perform a variety of complex specialized tasks utilizing ultrasonic high frequency sound waves to detect abnormalities including masses, abscesses, and stones.
  • Assists physicians with biopsy procedures, guided biopsy instruments using sonographic techniques.
  • Able to utilize electronic health records including utilizing PACS and the essential functions of the system.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology or Ultrasonography.
  • North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy State License (Sonographer: ND).
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) (12 months).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Knowledgeable in basic computer skills, PACS and Meditech

Preferred:

  • ARDMS Registered or registry eligible.
