This is a temporary opportunity designed for students currently enrolled in their second year of an accredited Radiological Technologist program. As a Student Rad Tech, you'll play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while honing your skills under the guidance of experienced, licensed providers.


Responsibilities

As a Student Rad Tech at St. Clare Hospital, you will:

  • Perform radiological exams at a technical level in accordance with department protocols and applicable regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Operate radiological equipment safely and efficiently in various locations, including clinics, the emergency room, surgery, and more.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care to individuals of all age groups, acting as a liaison between the patient and the radiologist, and explaining procedures clearly and compassionately.
  • Utilize equipment and techniques to protect patients, yourself, and others from unnecessary radiation.
  • Assist with basic nursing functions related to patient care and respond to emergency situations within your scope of authority.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and communicate any significant changes in a patient's condition to the nursing floor.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

What You'll Bring:

  • Currently enrolled in the second year of an accredited Radiological Technology program.
  • Knowledge of radiological examination concepts, standards, procedures, and equipment.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to x-ray examinations and equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use office equipment.
  • State of Washington Registration as an X-Ray Technician.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS certification.
  • A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for patient care.
