The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency and alignment with strategic goals. This executive works closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership to drive operational excellence, optimize resources, and implement business strategies that support growth and sustainability.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s vision.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing hospital operations, improving patient outcomes, and achieving financial targets.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate with executives to drive company-wide initiatives and innovation.
  • Oversee business processes, resource allocation, and work-flow optimization.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and ensure financial goals are met.
  • Optimize budgets and drive cost-effectiveness across departments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and senior managers.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and ensure employee engagement.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and industry compliance standards.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Masters degree in hospital administration or a closely related field preferred
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible administrative experience within a major healthcare institution, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in administrative management, demonstrating effective leadership in healthcare operations.
  • A proven track record of successfully expanding service lines and driving organizational growth.
  • Progressively responsible administrative experience in a major healthcare institution, preferably in an acute care setting
  • In-depth knowledge of California healthcare regulations and labor unions, with specific experience in construction and contract management.
