The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of nursing services within the healthcare organization. The CNO ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while aligning nursing practices with the organization's mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

What you'll do: 

Are you a visionary nursing leader ready to make a lasting impact? We’re searching for a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to drive clinical excellence, foster innovation, and champion patient-centered care at our premier healthcare facility. In this role, you will lead nursing operations, develop forward-thinking strategies, and ensure the highest quality of care while collaborating with executive leadership to shape the future of healthcare.

  • Develop and implement nursing strategies and initiatives.
  • Oversee daily nursing operations and patient care services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with other executive leaders to drive organizational goals.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage nursing budgets and resource allocation.
  • Lead recruitment, retention, and development of nursing staff.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and executive leadership.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing or related field.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality metrics, and best practices in California
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience working with California unions
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and operational performance.
  • Experience in a large hospital or health system preferred.
