Overview

St. Joseph Health (Brenham, TX) therapy teams are dedicated, thoroughly educated and equipped with the latest advances in therapy technology, and are determined to help you restore movement and function by creating therapy plans that take into account your unique needs, abilities and objectives.

Everything you need to get better.  Our comprehensive rehabilitation services program includes the people, facilities, equipment and technology it takes to provide the following services:

  • Occupational Therapy – We help people of all ages do the things they need to do for everyday activities, improving the skills needed for daily life.
  • Physical Therapy– Our physical therapists are passionate about helping restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.  
  • Speech Therapy – St. Joseph Health speech therapists evaluate, diagnose, treat and help to prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing and fluency.

Responsibilities

Therapy Tech 

Works under the supervision of a therapist to provide therapeutic assistance to patients. Assists the therapist in patient care. Transfers and transports patients, assists patients in activities of daily living as directed by the therapist. Participates in providing recreational activities for patients. Prepares, cleans and maintains treatment areas and equipment. Performs housekeeping duties within the department. Is responsible for light clerical duties as deemed necessary. Services are delivered within the framework of an interdisciplinary team approach, including the patient and significant others.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • BLS CPR certified, American Heart Association

Minimum Experience:

None
