Overview

As our Director of Wound Care at St. Luke's Health Patients Medical Center, you will help patients receive specialized wound care treatments to heal and regain their quality of life.

Every day, you will lead and oversee the operations of our Wound Care department. You will be expected to develop and implement care strategies, mentor staff, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and drive positive patient outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you must have proven leadership experience in wound care management, strong clinical expertise, and a commitment to patient-centered care.



About Us: 

Patients Medical Center (PMC) provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown, and Clear Lake. The facility includes 53 medical/surgical beds, eight ICU beds and three endoscopy rooms, and offers a range of primary and specialized services—wound care, general surgery, gastroenterology, occupational health, heart and vascular, women’s services, diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehab services, and sleep disorders.


Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the Wound Care department, ensuring efficient delivery of care and adherence to best practices.
  • Develop Care Strategies: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement innovative wound care programs tailored to patient needs.
  • Drive Quality Outcomes: Monitor performance metrics, implement improvement initiatives, and maintain compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Mentor and Support Staff: Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance and engagement.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (BSN) in a related discipline required; Masters strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years experience in the discipline and 5 years leadership experience.
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the State Nursing Board.
  • Certifications: Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) or Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN), BLS, ACLS, and PALS certified.
