Responsibilities

At CommonSpirit Health at Home, we strive to embody our mission of delivering hope and healing to those we serve. As an Accounts Payable Representative you'll be responsible for coordinating and processing Accounts Payable for company entities while also providing accounting analyses and support for the Accounting Department.  Other responsibilities include:

  • Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Program, including confidentiality of HIPAA protected health information. Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
  • Receives invoices from vendors and cost centers as well as checks for appropriate authorization and documentation.
  • Reviews AP vendors to maximize use of electronic payments and receipt of electronic invoices. Fields communications with vendors and staff members through various sources, including centralized AP e-mail.
  • Reviews vendor statements when received and obtains past due invoices for processing.
  • Audits invoices and resolves any discrepancies with prior or current balances.
  • Reviews and codes each invoice with the appropriate vendor number and cost center allocation(s) a. Inputs coded invoices, new vendors, vendor changes into computer system for processing and verifies related computerized reports, creating appropriate AP upload files.
  • Processes and distributes, mails checks, ACH files and files all paid invoices and computer reports.
  • Closes payables at month-end, year-end and runs all related reports.
  • Prepares various management reports and miscellaneous Financial Analysis.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Candidates must reside in one of the approved remote worker states: AR, AZ, CO, FL, IL, IN, KY, MI, ND, NE, OH, SC, TN, TX, WI.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of computerized accounts payable experience in a large size firm is required.
  • A basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel, experience is required; PeopleSoft and Crystal Reporting experience is a plus.
  • Must possess the ability to meet timely deadlines and maintain the confidentiality of all information.
