Responsibilities
Certified Surgery Tech II Lead is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. The individual performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan JCAHO and other licensing accrediting and regulatory agencies. The Lead tech assures all equipment supplies instruments implants etc are available and in working condition for each scheduled case in the Operating Room. S/he coordinates various material needs with Materiel Management. S/he maintains anesthesia supplies specialty equipment and coordinates instrument sets and case cart preparation with Sterile Processing Department counterparts. S/he acts as a resource for all levels of staff related to general and specialty equipment materials and instrumentation. Participation in the coverage of the departmental "On Call" schedule as well as shift adjustment based on the needs of the department is requred.
Our surgical department consists of 8 operating rooms with a designated cardiac and urology suite. The OR suites are equipped with state-of-the-art lighting tables and equipment. While all service lines are supported hearts vascular major ortho and neuro spine are the most prominent. The recent addition of the DaVinci Xi will allow this surgery department to provide a high level of care. This collaborative department supports learning and professional growth. Qualifications
- 2 years experience in acute care/stand alone ambulatory surgery center.
- Focus on Ortho Laparoscopic procedures vascular ophthalmology.
- Graduate from accredited Surgical Technician Training Course.
- Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
- BLS
