Responsibilities

About the Role:

As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the welcoming face and helpful voice of our clinic, providing exceptional service to our patients. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, from check-in to check-out. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Warmly Greeting and Registering Patients: Checking patients in and out, verifying demographic and insurance information, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Managing Patient Accounts: Collecting co-pays, co-insurance, and outstanding balances, processing payments, and reconciling daily transactions.
  • Navigating Insurance: Verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining necessary referrals and pre-authorizations for tests and procedures, and answering patient questions about their coverage.
  • Scheduling Appointments: Efficiently scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and managing appointment confirmations and cancellations.
  • Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Answering patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive and supportive experience for every patient.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: One year of customer service experience is required; two years preferred. Healthcare or Call Center experience is a significant plus!
