Job Summary / Purpose

The Team MemberCommunications and Engagement Manager will play a pivotal role in improving team member engagement and fostering a strong and transparent company culture. The Manager will be responsible for defining and delivering a comprehensive internal communications strategy designed to keep team members informed, motivated, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals and mission.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for internal communications that aligns with the company’s vision and mission.
  • Create and manage effective communications for channels such as newsletters, intranet, town hall meetings, and digital platforms.
  • Support major leadership announcements and organizational updates with strategic team member communication plans.
  • Partner with system functions/departments and key business leaders to ensure alignment of communications regarding ministry-wide team member initiatives and programs.
  • Provide l communications support for change management initiatives and special projects.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of internal communication strategies and modify as needed.
  • Work closely with other parts of the communications, marketing and brand departments to ensure consistency between internal and external messaging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the team member experience and foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Utilize various communication channels to promote team member recognition, wellness programs, and professional development opportunities.
  • Partner with the communications team on the management and maintenance of internal communication channels, ensuring that communication channels are user-friendly, accessible, effective and up-to-date with relevant information.
  • Handle sensitive issues with integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Lead and manage a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with internal & external communications, employee engagement, public relations, or related roles.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful internal communication strategies.
  • Proficiency in digital communication platforms and tools.
  •  Experience in change management communications.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices related to employee communications.
