Overview

As our Mammo Tech at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you will perform a variety of specialized technical tasks associated with the operation of x-ray imaging units and related equipment to assist the radiologist in the detection of anatomical abnormalities. You are primarily responsible for daily operations of the Mammography sections, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). Maintaining a high standard of medical ethics at all times and being self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve. This position supports the mission, vision and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health.

Schedule: Varied Weekdays, Flexible. Full or Part Time!

We are offering a $15,000 Sign-On Bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.


Responsibilities
  • Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.
  • Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience.
  • Performs essential tasks described in the Radiologic Technologist job description.
  • Perform the quality control functions related to mammography.
  • Maintain compliance for ACR and Department of Health accreditations.
  • Starts IV’s and the injecting of contrast, if applicable.
  • Utilize electronic health record.
  • Assists director in other related duties as required and assigned by management to meet the organization’s needs.

Qualifications

Required Education 

  • Associate Degree (2 year program) or equivalent
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology

Required Licensure and Certifications

  • American Heart Association BLS
  • Must hold North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
  • Board of Examiners (MRAD:ND)
  • RT (ARRT) (R)
  • RT (ARRT) (M) (18 months)

Preferred Experience

  • 1-2 years Mammo Experience preferred

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledgeable in basic computer skills, PACS and Meditech FIT Testing
