Our new tower has provided additional surgery suites with the latest technology, providing patients with a wide range of surgical/procedural experience. As our Senior Surgical Tech at CRMC, you will provide excellent service to the patients of the OR Department, the
physicians, fellow employees and hospital staff. The operating room (OR) operates as a team, and every member plays a crucial role that directly impacts the patient's outcome. As a Surgical Tech, your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with the team are key to taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process. Your role is not just important; it's integral to our success. Your expertise in surgical procedures and sterilization directly contributes to the positive outcomes of our patients, making you a valued and indispensable part of our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and maintains a sterile operative field.
- Prepares for planned procedures by having all necessary supplies and properly functioning instrumentation available.
- Assumes responsibility for personal, professional development and continuing education by attending departmental
meetings, hospital events and classes, etc. - Responsible for inventory, ordering and distribution of technical and office supplies.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a multi-specialty Operation room
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Card
- Completion of formal instruction in Operating Room Technique Certification
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
