Responsibilities

About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will be at the forefront of driving labor productivity improvement initiatives across VMFH. You will be responsible for managing and facilitating these initiatives, focusing on strategy execution, competitive improvement, and innovation. Your expertise in analytics and reporting will be crucial in developing and managing sustainable, data-driven programs that align with our strategic imperatives and improve financial performance and staffing efficiencies.



What You'll Do:

  • Lead the Charge: Serve as the primary VMFH productivity analytics implementer, coordinating and managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Optimize Performance: Manage overall productivity across multiple VMFH hospitals, addressing performance issues, identifying staffing needs, and optimizing scheduling.
  • Drive Innovation: Lead strategic, innovative, and operational projects, leveraging project management, change management, and labor improvement core capabilities.
  • Deliver Results: Own all aspects of important productivity improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Establish a continuous performance and process improvement effort, monitoring and reporting system, and share expertise to enhance productivity management capacity.
  • Provide Insightful Analytics: Maintain current labor management analytics reports, providing regular updates on performance/process improvement efforts and their impact.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for VMFH financial improvement, advising operational leadership on progress, problem-solving, and performance target identification.
  • Develop Cutting-Edge Tools: Collaborate on the reporting design of information technology required to support a productivity performance system, customizing and developing analytical tools.
  • Mentor and Coach: Lead, coach, and mentor team members in analytics and reporting functions, collaborating with training departments to develop and deliver quality and labor management training modules.
  • Travel: Must travel 60% onsite to local VMFH entities.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Engineering, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Three years of work experience in a healthcare environment demonstrating the required job knowledge and abilities.
  • Analytical Prowess: Proven ability to design, develop, and interpret complex data sets to drive actionable insights.
  • Project Management Expertise: Strong understanding of professional project management principles and practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively influence stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Belt certification
  • Current certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
