We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Imaging Clerk to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our Imaging Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our department, contributing directly to the positive experience of our patients.


Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Be the face of our department: Greet patients, visitors, and physicians with warmth and professionalism, efficiently addressing their needs and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Master the art of communication: Answer phones, screen calls, take accurate messages, and relay information promptly and effectively.
  • Become a record-keeping expert: Maintain patient records, charts, and files with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Navigate the world of medical terminology: Utilize your knowledge (or quickly learn!) medical terminology and abbreviations to accurately process information.
  • Streamline patient flow: Monitor patient schedules and workflow, directing and transporting patients to the appropriate locations, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Be a billing whiz: Enter billing information into appropriate systems, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintain a well-stocked environment: Monitor and maintain office supplies, ensuring the department is always prepared to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality: Adhere to strict HIPAA guidelines, ensuring the privacy and security of patient information.

Qualifications

What you'll bring to the table:

  • One year of related work experience demonstrating strong clerical and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in modern office practices, systems, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and apply medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to use office equipment and automated systems/applications/software at an acceptable level.
