CHI Health Immanuel located in North Omaha just off of I-680 on 72nd Street offers a full-service hospital cancer center rehabilitation center specialty spine hospital and more. Responsibilities

* Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 educational assistance available to external candidates

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • This position is a floating Invasive Technologist to hospital locations in Omaha
  • Assists with pre-procedure education and preparing patient for procedure
  • Scrubs and assists physicians during procedures 
  • Performs arterial and/or venous sheath removal utilizing deployment of closure devices, manual pressure, or mechanical compression and transport patients
  • Participation in the after-hours on-call rotation is required and staff must be able to respond within 30 minutes of notification

Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from CCI. New graduates are eligible for hire and must obtain credentials within 6 months of start date

and / or 

  • Radiology Technologist Degree with an ARRT certification
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required upon hire
  • AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training

  • Knowledge of radiographic views and equipment  
  • Knowledge of EKG rhythms and abnormalities
  • Knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy
  • Knowledge of appropriate sterile field management and aseptic techniques
  • Knowledge of a wide range of invasive procedure supplies and equipment including but not limited to guidewires, sheaths, stents, catheters, and balloons
