St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, WA, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis.  This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute their expertise to a dynamic and rewarding environment.


Responsibilities

Job Summary:

As an Interventional Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality interventional diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the direction of a physician.  Your expertise in utilizing C-arms, fluoroscopy, and tomography will be essential in guiding these procedures and capturing critical data for interpretation.  You will work collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.

Essential Job Functions:

This role requires a diverse skill set, encompassing both technical proficiency and patient care.  Your responsibilities will include:

  • Procedure Preparation:  Preparing equipment, supplies, and the procedure room according to established protocols.
  • Technical Expertise:  Performing interventional radiology and cardiovascular procedures, utilizing various imaging modalities and techniques.  This includes managing wires, catheters, balloons, and other devices.
  • Patient Care:  Providing compassionate care to patients of all ages, explaining procedures, monitoring vital signs, and responding to emergencies.
  • Documentation:  Maintaining accurate and complete patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR), hemodynamic monitoring system, and Radiation Information Systems (RIS).
  • Collaboration:  Working effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Equipment Maintenance:  Ensuring equipment is in proper working order and following established cleaning and maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, Interventional Radiology, or Special Procedures Technologist (or equivalent).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
  • Current Washington State Radiologic Technologist certification required.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of interventional radiology procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
