Overview

Scheduler

As our Scheduler at The Woodlands Hospital, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll help our patients confirm their outpatient diagnostic exams. for various departments. 

Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients schedule exams which includesobtaining accurate patient demographic, clinical and financial information and the coordination of available resources to meet the needs of the patient.  Billing responsibilities may also be included.

The Woodlands Hospital is a 245 bed non-profit facility providing quality health care to patients and communities in and around The Woodlands, Texas. Responsibilities
  • Schedule outpatient test(s) and assess the proper amount of time that is required for the ordered test(s) 
  • Collect the appropriate level of demographic, clinical and financial information
  • Inform the physician office or patient of their testing schedule
  • Coordinate with the various department’s for requests for same day add‐ons or special situations requiring a
    department’s approval
  • Prepare and send out various printed schedules and audit reports, on a daily basis, for both departments and
    physician offices
  • Accurate billing of all appropriate patient charges

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Two (2) years of related PAS work experience
