CHI Archway Mental Health Services is looking for Full Time Behavioral Health Therapists to join the team!

The Behavioral Health Therapist provides assessment and counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups to meet the psychosocial needs of individuals accessing care at Archway Mental Health Services. 

What You'll Do:

  • Provides individual, marital, family, and group diagnostic assessments and mental health therapy sessions. 
  • Demonstrates proficiency in advanced assessment and counseling skills.  Assesses patients through detailed conversations, interviews, and observations to determine the appropriate plan of care.
  • Diagnoses the patient’s mental and emotional disorders utilizing DSM-V and ICD-10 criteria.  Creates effective treatment plans that include counseling, referral to medication provider, or other services as necessary.
  • Therapist will perform duties in a manner consistent with individual scope of practice, following all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies and procedures governing individual licensure. 
  • Shall procure and maintain third party- payor status.  Shall be qualified to provide services which are covered under Medicare and Medicaid and shall provide services in accordance with Hospital’s policies and procedures. 
  • Demonstrates the ability to triage individuals in crisis by establishing appropriate interventions to maintain patient safety.
  • Maintains accurate and timely patient records per the medical center standards.  Updates the treatment plan regularly with patient centered goals in mind.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with other mental health and healthcare providers, patients, family members, and outside agencies. 
  • Uses evidenced based practice modalities and therapy models to ensure high quality therapy services are provided to patients.  
  • Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior at all times, maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Works effectively with diverse patient populations.  
  • Serves as a patient advocate at all times, assists patients with accessing resources or additional referrals when needed. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education/License/Requirements:

  • Masters of Social Work Degree or a Licensed Professional Counselor
  • Licensed Certified Master Social Worker in North Dakota (MSW) or a Professional Counselor License in North Dakota (LPC) while under supervision to obtain LPCC.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention CPI required within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS or BLS instructor certification is required upon hire.
