The posted compensation range of $14.82 - $20.38 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Assists in the delivery of patient care and performance of established tasks and procedures under the supervision of a physically present and immediately available Registered Nurse/ OB Provider. Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health.

Schedule: Three 12-Hour Day/Night Rotating Shifts
Responsibilities
- Must be able to perform the following tasks efficiently: perform/record vital signs, CPR, assist provider with treatment when appropriate, clean medical equipment and prepare for sterilization, collect urine specimens, and phlebotomy
- Assists in making observations, gathering data, and identifying patient care needs
- Assists with patient transports and transfers
- Answer telephones, filing, greet patients/visitors, transcribe provider’s orders, electronic data entry, and assist with documentation
- Assists with cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
- Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies
- Utilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
Required Licensure and Certifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) by the ND Department of Health, mandatory.
- Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS)
Required Education for Staff Job Levels
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Minimum Experience
- No experience required
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong oral communications skills
- Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of all regulatory agencies and their standards and processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
PREFERRED Education and/or Experience
- OB Unit CNA experience preferred
