AmeriMed Infusion Pharmcy in West Chester, Ohio, Now Hiring Full time Admission Coordinator! 

AmeriMed provides home infusion therapy services to help patients safely transition care to their home, alleviating long and unnecessary stays in the hospital. Through our experienced and professional pharmacy team at AmeriMed we provide total care for our patients. Working directly with physicians, we are able to manage a variety of diseases and conditions in a homecare setting. Our goal is to help each patient be an active participant in their care. Through education and partnership with each patient and their caregivers, we teach our patients how to effectively manage their therapy and provide ongoing oversight, coordination and support throughout their therapy


Responsibilities

AmeriMed Infusion Pharmacy Now Hiring Full time Admissions Coordinator for the West Chester, Ohio location.

Monday - Friday (Rotating Shifts 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM)

The Admissions Coordinator I is responsible for the coordination of infusion therapy, enteral therapy and durable medical equipment to infusion patients and customers. Responsible for participating in continuous Quality Improvement as it relates to the admission, intake and delivery of services to Infusion patients. Works in tandem with the Director, Operations and/or Director, Clinical Services to resolve customer service issues.
Initiates admission process for referred patients in a timely manner obtaining referral data and entering patient information into CPR+.

  • Coordinates start of care with referral source, patients and delivery for services.
  • Performs with a high level of knowledge of product lines and customer service standards. Acts as a resource for both internal and external customers.
  • Maintains knowledge of local insurance provider lists to assist with the coordination of discharge for infusion therapy, enteral therapy and durable medical equipment for infusion patients.
  • Keeps current on alternative sources for indigent care and distributes indigent cases.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with outside agencies and referral sources generating an open flow of communication and maintaining workflow to ensure a seamless transition to home care.
  • Verification of Government payors and insurance coverage, including but not limited to: Medical policy and payor requirements for IV and Nursing.
  • Verifies insurance Coverage, completes benefit check, and/or initial prior authorizations for all product lines as required by payors.
  • Generates and sends out ABN (Advance Beneficiary Notice), AOB (Assignment of Benefits), and Patient Agreement to patients.
  • Participates in team meetings.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years’ customer serviceexperience in medical field.
  • Ability to work closely with a wide range of professionals or a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Interpersonal skills that facilitate inter- and intra-team/departmentalcommunication.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong typing and computer skills
  • Ability to function well as part of team.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Works well with others as part of a team.
