Responsibilities
About the Role:
As our Student Placement Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for students and educators seeking clinical placements, internships, and other experiential learning opportunities across VMFH's Tacoma facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships: Collaborate with educational institutions (colleges, universities, vocational schools) to identify and secure placement opportunities for students in various healthcare disciplines.
- Managing the placement process: From initial inquiry to final placement, you will guide students through the application, onboarding, and evaluation processes, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Tracking and reporting: Maintain accurate records of student placements, track progress, and generate reports to monitor program effectiveness.
- Onboarding and support: Provide orientation and ongoing support to students throughout their placement, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Promoting VMFH: Act as an ambassador for VMFH, showcasing our commitment to education and fostering a positive image within the academic community.
- Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the student placement program and contribute to its ongoing development.
Qualifications
About You:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Healthcare Administration, Education, or similar) preferred.
- 2 years of proven experience in student placement, recruitment, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of healthcare settings and terminology.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems (experience with Banner or similar systems a plus).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for education and a commitment to fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.
