Responsibilities
Essential Key Job Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership & Operations: Provide daily oversight of student placement programs, acting as a liaison between VMFH facilities, academic partners, and students. Collaborate with department management and educational institutions to coordinate placements, ensuring alignment with student training requirements and VMFH operational needs.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with academic affiliates, promoting placement opportunities and facilitating effective onboarding for student learners. Proactively address challenges and conflicts, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders.
- Placement Coordination: Manage the entire placement process, from initial requests to final evaluations. This includes identifying placement opportunities, reviewing student documentation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Contract & Compliance: Collaborate with CommonSpirit Health (CSH) Services to execute and administer contracts, ensuring adherence to CSH policies, local/state/federal laws, and established standards. Maintain accurate records and conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Performance Improvement: Continuously evaluate program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven solutions to enhance the student experience and program outcomes. Represent Education Services on various VMFH, CSH, and community groups, fostering strategic partnerships.
- Project Management: Manage program-related projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational objectives. Utilize project management best practices to streamline processes and achieve optimal results.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a related field and two years of relevant work experience in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of Virginia Mason Production System (VMPS) / Lean concepts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.
- Knowledge of best practices for student placement in healthcare settings.
- Understanding of relevant city, county, state, and federal regulations.
- Proficiency in contract management and compliance procedures.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Experience with student information systems.
