Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Tacoma, WA is looking for a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to support the ongoing implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of our advanced learning solutions. Responsibilities

As an LMS Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of the Learning Management Systems (LMS) used by Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. Your role will be central in supporting our team’s educational goals, enhancing system functionality, and ensuring a smooth and efficient learning experience for all users.

You’ll play a vital role in anticipating needs, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement efforts in the systems that support our clinical and non-clinical staff development. Essential Key Job Responsibilities

LMS Administration

  • System Configuration: Administer and configure LMS systems, ensuring seamless operation across various platforms. Create course components, adjust configurations, and generate insightful reports.
  • LMS Optimization: Stay ahead of system trends by testing and recommending new LMS functions to enhance the user experience. Model and test features before recommending them to the Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) team.
  • Problem Resolution: Anticipate potential issues with LMS functions and quickly respond to or escalate unintended outcomes, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing projects.
  • Support & Training: Provide technical and administrative support for the LMS and related systems. Train local administrators and end users to maximize system functionality.
  • Security & Permissions Management: Manage user roles, security protocols, and access permissions, ensuring proper configuration for a wide variety of users.

Project Management

  • Multi-Tasking & Prioritization: Handle multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and following up on assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Clear Communication: Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely communication with internal L&OD team members and stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Respond to internal client requests, provide information, and resolve problems with a high level of customer service.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Required: Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant job-related experience.
  • Required: At least 2 years of experience administering CSOD (Cornerstone OnDemand) or similar learning management systems.
  • Preferred: Healthcare experience to better understand the unique needs of a healthcare learning environment.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Preferred: CSOD certification or equivalent.

Skills & Abilities

  • LMS Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of LMS applications, specifically CSOD or similar systems.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to analyze and report data effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain an organized approach to work.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
