Responsibilities

In keeping with the Marian Regional Medical Center health care philosophy the Food Service Worker II who will work at the Marian Extended Care Center reviews production sheets to determine type and quantity of cold food items to be prepared. Follows recipes and other production records to facilitate uninterrupted efficient operation of trayline cafeteria and other service areas. Uses a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment such as food processors blenders mixers slicers steamers and choppers to prepare food items. May work on patient trayline as needed. Follows ARAs Standard of Operations for food handling and storage. Assists as directed to facilitate the flow of work in the operations of kitchen procedures and food and supply distribution. Maintains proper care maintenance and sanitation of work areas equipment and supplies. Alerts supervisor to problems or needs concerning equipment food supply sanitation and safety. Detects and reports spoiled or unattractive food or supplies. Maintains established department policies procedures objectives for quality assurance safety and infection control.

  • Able to take instructions comprehend and follow through.
  • Ability to read write comprehend and follow written

    and oral instructions in English

  • Prior food service experience a plus.
