Responsibilities

The violence prevention coordinatorrwill be responsible for navigating health and social services  with clients, peer engagement and modeling, group facilitation, and other group activities, with a particular focus on at-risk patients, families and friends impacted by violence. Both within the Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Program (HVIP) and in the broader community. The position requires the ability to engage with individuals in a trauma informed manner, and to model effective ays of engaging with resources to support healing. The vilence intervention coordinator will be expected to perform a significant amount of community and home-based work and engage within a diverse range of neighborhoods.


Qualifications

Minimum:

High School Diploma or GED

1-3 years working or volunteering in any coaching, teaching or mentoring capacity

Valid Drivers License (DRV LIC)

Preferred:

Direct experience in a violence intervention service is preferred, as is prior experience helping others make lifestyle changes or other leadership experience

Associates Degree with 3 years relevant experience or Bachelor's Degree with 1 year of experience 

Reliable transportation
