Responsibilities
This position reports to the Translational Neuroscience Research Operations Manager. Incumbents in this position provide oversight for all administrative aspects of BNI Research Education Programs at the direction of the Director of BNI Research Education Programs. Specific responsibilities include project development and implementation, employee/NSP interviewing, hiring, orienting and supervision, overseeing marketing and communication, and overseeing all aspects of BNI Research Education recruitment. The position is also responsible for being the liaison among research administration, research faculty, professional associations, schools/universities, and program affiliates consistent with the Mission and Values of Dignity Health.
Responsible for the management of daily and annual BNI Research Education Programs activities and resources. This includes planning, staffing, directing, controlling and overseeing the educational efforts of the department to provide administrative, informational, and clerical support to the students, research faculty, other clinicians, and educators of the program. In the event of an emergency, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the modification of assignments, rescheduling individuals, and
negotiating support to ensure continuous educational opportunities for students. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the organization’s Core Values
The position provides oversight for all administrative aspects of the BNI Research Education Programs:
(1) High School Student Training Program,
(2) Undergraduate Student Training Program,
(3) Graduate Student Training Program,
(4) High School Student Summer Internship,
(5) Barrow Neuroscience Bootcamp – Young Scholars Program,
(6) PhD Graduate Student Program.
Responsibilities Include:
Project development and implementation.
Employee/NSP interviewing, hiring, orientation and supervision.
Oversees marketing and communications.
Oversees all aspects of student recruitment and facilitates year-round student placement (high school,undergraduate, and graduate) in BNI translational research laboratories.
Qualifications
3 years experience required. Experience Support of High School, Undergraduate, and Graduate Research Education Program(s)
Education
General education in a health-related field or combination of education and experience.
Associate’s degree required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Licensure
CITI Training Certificate or completion within 3 months
Special Skills
Computer Competency & Strong Written and Verbal Communication
