Overview

CHI St. Joseph's Health is  looking for a caring and responsible EVS Tech Lead  to work in our Environmental Services department. This position is integral to maintaining  the CHI St. Joseph's hospital by providing a clean, safe and sanitized environment to ensure comfortable, orderly and satisfying surroundings for the patients, employees, associates and the public.

As the EVS Tech Lead, this person may work independently and act as the lead custodian to provide and promote sanitary conditions which help to  prevent the spread of virus, infections and odors. This may include collecting trash, biohazards trash, soiled linen, snow removal, grounds keeping, floor care in all department areas.  In addition,  other tasks may involve exposure to visible blood  and/or bodily fluid contamination or reasonably anticipated blood and/or bodily fluid contamination.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • Maintain and clean all department floors areas according to establish standards.
  • Maintain and clean all public area carpets or floors.
  • Remove all trash, biohazards, soiled linen to designated areas for pickup.
  • Maintain all grounds area by mowing or snow removal.
  • Restock any and all supplies within department areas.
  • Identifies and reports work orders to maintenance department.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Able to meet ADA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare custodial experience preferred.
