Floor Tech. - Environmental Services

St. John's Regional Medical Center

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated EVS Svcs Tech Sr. to join our team. The EVS Svcs Tech Sr. will be responsible to perform a variety of cleaning tasks necessary to maintain and improve the appearance and sanitary condition of all campuses and participates in quality control and staff development. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Cleans assigned areas according to established standards and 12-step cleaning process.
  • Scrubs, strips, waxes and buffs floors utilizing automatic and multi-speed floor machines and other specialized equipment.
  • Maintains and cleans assigned equipment
  • Arranges and/or transports furniture, equipment and supplies.
  • Documents and reports items needing repair and hazardous conditions requiring correction.
  • Stocks supply cart in assigned areas.
  • Keeps record of supply requisitions and assignments, completed and inventory.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications
  • 5 years acute healthcare experience as an EVS Tech at St. John's Regional Medical Center or Pleasant Valley Hospital.
  • No disciplinary action for previous 12 months.
  • Exemplary evaluation at 3.2 or above in prior evaluation.
  • Ability to converse/comprehend/communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members patients and visitors.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of issues and materials designed as such.
  • Ability to work as needed at both campuses.
  • Ability to participate in staff development training.
  • Ability to participate in quality control program

This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
