The VP Medical Operations (VPMO)/Chief Medical Officer at CHI Health Immanuel will provide the clinical, operational, strategic, and cultural leadership necessary to deliver care that is high-value (cost, quality, and patient experience) across the continuum of care, while also improving the health status of the populations we serve. The VPMO will achieve this through the implementation of key strategic and operational initiatives that move the organization through work that involves maximizing clinical operations and developing risk capability, in a manner that is collaborative and consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Health Initiatives.


Responsibilities
  • Improve Value through Optimizing Clinical Operations across the Continuum
  • Develop & Enhance Physician Leadership and Alignment
  • Establish Effective Medical Affairs Function to Support Physician Performance Management
  • Enhance Quality, Safety, & Patient Experience
  • Develop a Data-Driven Approach for Managing Cost & Quality
  • Inform Strategy around Designing Systems of Care for Clinical Value
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Required Education

  • Sys/Div/Mkt/Local Director – Required Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline; Master’s Degree strongly preferred
  • Required Licensure and Certifications

Required Licensure and Certifications

  • Active, unrestricted medical license
  • Board certification in an ABMS recognized specialty
