Speech Language Pathologist Casual
The posted compensation range of $47.50 - $47.50 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Schedule Requirements: 2 weekend shifts per month (Sat or Sun) and 2 holidays per year
Compensation: $47.50/hr with time and a half pay for holidays
Speech language pathologists provide evaluations, care planning, direct treatment and work as a collaborative member of the interdisciplinary team. Care planning, patient/care-giver education, positive and professional physician and payer communication is expected in this role. Individuals in this role assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults and children.
Responsibilities
- Provides speech language evaluations, care planning, patient treatment and education according to the professional practice guidelines defined by state and professional sources.
- Works as a collaborative team member to develop a coordinated care plan that is accountable to achievement of established goals.
- Is knowledgable and completes all required documentation and billing requirements according to established local, state and federal law.
- Is responsible for the knowledge and application of measurable quality metrics associated with the area of active practice. Periodically attends team meetings to discuss/improve program evaluation/quality measures.
Qualifications
Required Education for Staff Job Levels | Minimum of a Masters from an accredited Speech Language Pathology School. |
Required Licensure and Certifications | Active speech therapy license in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or speech therapy licensure compact. Basic life support (BLS) through the American Heart Association is required upon hire. |
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | High level of competence in both written and verbal communication, conducts self in a professional manner at all times, works well in a team environment, strong knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations and professional standards relating to Speech Lanaguage Pathology. |
Required Qualifications | Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) completed. |
