Skilled Facility Associate - Facility Management

Northridge Hospital Medical Center

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Skilled Facility Associate to join our team and contribute to the success of our operations. This role performs various routine maintenance assignments and assists other Facilities Management Department personnel in the repair and maintenance of physical structures equipment and fixtures of the facility and grounds.


Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of facilities.
  • Conduct inspections and identify areas requiring repair or improvement.
  • Address and resolve facility-related issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and maintenance services.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in space planning and organization to optimize facility layout.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years in commercial/hospital trades with knowledge in hospital facility repair and maintenance operations required in one of the following fields; electrical plumbing HVAC controls carpentry furniture repair and assembly texture and painting experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Knowledge in Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations including the TJC DHS OSHA.
  • Must maintain current Fire Safety card.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
