Overview

As our Lead Security Officer at CHI St Vincent,  you will have a dual role in our security program. You will  monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors. You will also have leadership responsibilities that include staffing and serving as the primary contact for law enforcement agencies when senior leadership is not available.  

Every day you will monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises.  

Your security detail could include guarding facility and unit access points, monitoring surveillance cameras, testing new security technology, and protecting all employees/visitors against acts of violence should they arise. 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need the ability to remain calm and take action based on the situation, known facts, and understand the position limitations. You are also expected to respond to emergency codesin a timely manner. Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred. 

CHI St. Vincent Morrilton is a 28-bed faith-based, not-for-profit community access hospital serving the health care needs of rural communities throughout west central Arkansas.

Responsibilities
  • Protect staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely manner.
  • Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle, monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to locations where needed. 
  • Observe and report suspicious activities or behavior.
  • Report and document all accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety/ fire hazards and other security related situations. 
  • Investigate security breaches and conduct follow-up investigations.
  • Assist security leadership with staffing and training of new security officers.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED Required
  • Six (6) months experience as security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, prior law enforcement or military service; OR • One (1) year experience as a security officer required.
  • Current Arkansas Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment
