Overview

As our Denials Management Specialist at CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic of Arkansas, you will help our revenue cycle team recover maximum reimbursement so they can maintain the financial health of the clinic.

Every day you will investigate and appeal denied claims. You will be expected to perform thorough claim analysis, communicate effectively with payers, and implement denial prevention strategies.

To be successful in this role, you must have strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in denials management.

CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic of Arkansas is a cardiology subspecialty clinic for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions of the heart and vascular systems. We take care to get a proper diagnosis and develop a personalized treatment plan to ensure the best outcome and quality of life for each patient. Responsibilities
  • Posting insurance or patient payments, keying in denials, posting zero insurance payments.
  • Searching for explanations of benefits from different payers, tracking down denials and zero pays.
  • Correcting claims, rebilling claims, entering in EOB for secondary claims, rekeying in charges.
  • Researching unpaid claims and credit balances, reviewing requests for refunds and recoupments.
  • Help to answer patients’ phone calls to pay and assist with billing questions from patients.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/ GED required
  • Three (3) years' experience posting payments or working denials at a hospital or physician office
