Being a senior physicist at CHI St Vincent Hot Springs, you will embark on a unique and exciting journey. You will have the opportunity to develop, supervise, and coordinate the Radiation Oncology Physics Program, a role with its own challenges and rewards.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Physicist, you'll play a vital role in patient care and diagnosis within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You'll be responsible for:
Treatment Planning:
- Supervises and assists dosimetrists in calculating treatment plans.
- Works with radiation oncologists to develop new techniques and procedures.
Quality Assurance:
- Performs routine quality assurance for treatment machines.
- Calibrates machines and conducts special physics projects.
Radiation Safety:
- Acts as Radiation Safety Officer for the Cancer Treatment Center.
- Ensures compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations.
Brachytherapy:
- Maintains records of radionuclide use
- Assembles and prepares brachytherapy and sources.
- Loads, threads, and returns sources.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Medical Physics
Required Licensure and Certifications:
- Board eligible or certified by the ABR in Therapeutic Medical Physics
- Knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of clinical experience
- Experience with Linac-based SRS and SBRT
- Experience with Linear Accelerators, Aria, and Eclipse
