Overview

CHI Health St. Francis was established in Grand Island Neb. in 1887. Today our hospital is a regional referral center with more than 100 physicians and more than 1100 employees working together to build a healthier community. Our goal is to provide patients with high-quality medical care close to home where they can be supported by their family friends and community. 

The Gift Shop Coordinator has responsibility for merchandising, displaying, assisting with inventory controls,  seasonal promotions, and financial management of the Gift Shop. The Gift Shop Coordinator will perform these duties as directed by and in conjunction with the Gift Shop Supervisor. 


Responsibilities

Gift Shop Admin Coordinator

CHI St. Francis, Grand Island, NE

1. Assist with the collection of the daily receipts in Gift Shop, prepares deposit, maintains ledger and reconciles envelopes to the cash register.  Responsible for recording expenses and income into computer excel sheets, prepares monthly cash flow statements, monthly gross sales, inputs monthly budget data and provides a daily breakdown of sales to Finance.  Responsible for keeping correct change in Gift Shop cash register and cash bag,

2.Coordinates ordering and invoicing for flower sales.  Assists in the processing of freight from putting the freight into the Point of Sale system, price tagging, and putting merchandise onto the sales floor. Assists in keeping the back stock room and basement organized.

3.  Coordinates the Gift Shop inventory annually. Reports to the Gift Shop Supervisor any out of stock & low inventory items that need to be ordered.  

4.Check with internet sales and assure prompt delivery, along with updating and processing orders from the website.

5.   Assist in covering shifts in the Gift shop when volunteers are absent. When not at the register work with customers using suggestive selling, straighten shelves and preform light housekeeping.  


Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of retail experience 
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask without supervision 
  • Basic computer knowledge of Google Sheets and web based programs
