As part of the a 35-acre medical campus, St. Joseph’s Westgate Medical Center features new approaches to healthcare via its onside collaboration with Dignity Health partners. The Westgate team has a solid patient/physician focused style to customer service; actively partnering with patients and physicians to plan for the continuum of care.  It is with Dignity Health’s humankindness movement that gives St. Joseph’s Westgate Medical Center the opportunity to open a hospital that is based upon partnerships with patients, physicians, employees, and the community.

With future plans to expand, St. Joseph’s Westgate Medical Center, a 60,000 square foot hospital, includes a 12-bed full-service emergency department, a 24-bed inpatient unit, 2 operating rooms, 2 procedural rooms, dedicated space for diagnostic services, an ambulance bay and helipad. The campus features some of the most innovative uses of materials to promote patient safety, patient satisfaction and medical efficiency.

Responsibilities

As our CT Tech II at St Josephs Hospital and Medical Center (Westgate Campus) you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. Every day you’ll create cross-section images of the skeleton tissues and internal organs. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience.  To be successful in this role you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow various patient positioning techniques and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as computed axial tomography magnetic resonance interventional radiology mammography sonography ultrasound and/or nuclear medicine and PET
  • Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging order
  • Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients teammates and yourself.
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting calibrating and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.

Qualifications

Minimum:


Education:

Completion of approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved Radiologic Technologist Program Medical Radiologic

Certifications:

Technologist Board of Examiners (MRTBE) ARRT (CT) certification

AHA BLS required.

Experience:

Three years of CT experience preferred.
