The posted compensation range of $19.23 - $25.44 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
Job Summary
Duties include management of inventory as it relates to picking products replenishing requisitioning shipping and receiving. Duties are not limited to the supply room but extend to all areas of the hospital. Responsible for pulling products for cases as assigned. Inventory technician assures that supply areas are organized maintained and par levels are optimized to support department demands.
The work requires attention to detail excellent customer services skills knowledge of technical nomenclature relating to supplies.
Essential Job Functions
- Restocks supplies daily and rotates inventory supporting accurate inventory levels generating orders/requisitions as needed.
- Utilizes tracking system data as appropriate to successfully execute above processes.
- Distributes medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas while monitoring par levels for specific products to assure that appropriate levels are established in order not to affect patient care.
- Responsible for the intake process and verifying delivery of required supplies for completeness/quality of their contents.
Identifies excess inventory returning stock and processing credits. - Notifies supervisor of outdated or slow moving inventory.
- Makes visual inventory inspections to maintain adequate stock and supply levels; stores new and processed equipment and supplies.
- Participates in the put away and validation process of perpetual inventory items; issues and credits materials from the inventory management system.
- Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly stock locations and labeling bins and handling requests to change pars.
- Acts as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed.
- Works with and follows instructions of buyers and department management in the event of recalls to pull relevant products.
Qualifications
Education/Work Experience Requirements
- One year of progressively responsible supply chain related experience preferably in an acute care hospital.
