IT Systems Administrator
The posted compensation range of $34.52 - $50.06 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
- Provides operational support in addition to evaluation and implementation services for new products, technologies and solutions to address corporate business requirements.
- Accepts responsibility for end-user testing using their own in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability). Produces, records and analyzes materials, actions and results, and maintains a knowledge base. Provides reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project. Reports on system quality and collects metrics on results.
- Assesses and analyzes release components. Provides input to scheduling. Carries out the builds and tests in coordination with testers and component specialists maintaining and administering the tools and methods – manual or automatic - and ensuring, where possible, information exchange with configuration management. Ensures release processes and procedures are maintained.
- Provides advice and guidance to support adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards. Tailors processes in line with agreed standards and evaluation of methods and tools. Reviews and improves usage and application of methods and tools.
- Based on your area, effort and activities are daily maintenance and support of existing environments, or project assignments that can be large in scope and typical medium complexity.
- Provide exceptional customer service to CommonSpirit end users, Business Stakeholders and other members of CommonSpirit IT.
- Participate in team on-call rotations.
- Participate in projects associated with the enhancement, upgrade/patching, or implementation of new or existing software solutions.
- Participates in support efforts with CommonSpirit Health support teams and takes ownership of technical issues in System Administration.
- Creates,and curates documents related to operational functions adhering to technical management guidelines.
- Assist with strategic planning activities (capacity planning, process improvement, maintenance, upgrade and end-of-life planning, roadmap development).
- Build new test and production environments on existing or new hardware as required.
- Identify automation opportunities and implement scripted solutions.
- Identify technical innovation and process improvement opportunities.
- Utilize standard tools and methodology to develop systems and support performance metrics.
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge & expertise with CommonSpirit business processes and routines.

Qualifications
- BA or BS in Computer Science, Technology, or Business discipline or equivalent experience is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in an IT technical or infrastructure field is required
- 3-7 years of professional experience in an IT technical or infrastructure field is required.
- Provides evaluation and implementation services for new products, technologies and solutions to address corporate business requirements.
- Has a thorough and comprehensive understanding of supported platforms/products and environments.
- Provide operational support to all applications leveraging the Service now platform.
- Participate in projects associated with the enhancement, upgrade/patching, or implementation of new or existing technology solutions.
- Identify technical innovation and process improvement opportunities.
- Utilize standard tools and methodology to administer and improve systems and support performance metrics.
- Perform technical mentoring and cross training with other team members.
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge & expertise with CommonSpirit Health business processes and routines.
ServiceNow Administration
- 3+ years experience with administration of users/groups/tasks/requests and releases within ServiceNow is required.
- Experience with writing technical specification documents for daily operations, SOPs, KBs and maintenance in a cloud hosted environment is desired
- Implementation and/or maintenance experience is required in at least 2 or more of the following ServiceNow modules in addition to ITSM: SPM, APM, CMDB, HRSD, Integrations, Flow Designer, EmployeeCenter, ITOM, CSM, WSD, SecOps
- Experience with LDAP platforms (Identity Vault, Active Directory, Sailpoint) is required.
