Are you a passionate RN with a knack for detail and a commitment to quality? Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Peer Review team. This hybrid position offers the best of both worlds – the collaboration of an office environment and the flexibility of remote work.
Make a Real Difference:
As a Peer Review RN, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care. You'll be instrumental in:
- Improving Patient Safety: Identify and address clinical performance and unprofessional conduct issues through thorough reviews of medical records, reports, and other documentation.
- Mentoring and Supporting Providers: Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to facilitate improvement in individual performance and clinical documentation.
- Driving Systemic Change: Analyze data, identify trends, and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance quality of care initiatives.
- Shaping Policy: Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our peer review processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Executing peer review screenings based on established quality indicators.
- Reviewing medical documentation to identify areas of concern.
- Analyzing clinical cases and escalating issues as needed.
- Facilitating OPPE and FPPE evaluations.
- Preparing case studies for presentation to medical staff committees.
- Supporting committee meetings and documenting outcomes.
- Sharing data and collaborating on systemic improvement strategies.
- Maintaining provider quality files and preparing reports for leadership.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Four years of related work experience.
- Current Washington State RN license.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (Epic experience a plus).
