Overview

As our Pharmacy Tech or Student at CHI St. Alexius Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health,  you’ll help our Pharmacists by  safely assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications to help our patients feel better and recover from their illness or injury.

Responsibilities

Come check out our new wages! $18.85 per hour starting and increases with experience.

  • Prepare, fill and distribute unit-dose drugs and performs medication exchange with nursing units.
  • Will assist in the preparation of sterile intravenous admixtures under pharmacist supervision.
  • Maintains the prescription files, answers phones and triages calls..
  • Maintains adequate levels of drugs and records on the order-book items that fall below minimum level. 
  • Assists the pharmacist in all aspects of the daily departmental activities.

Qualifications
  • High School graduate or GED required
  • Enrollment in an American society of health systems pharmacists accredited academic program OR an American society of health systems pharmacists accredited on-the-job training program. (Best part is the cost is covered by us!)
  • Licensed as a ND Pharmacy Technician in training as required by the ND State Board of Pharmacy.  Within 24 months of hire, must complete  training program approved by the board of pharmacy and Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)  We are committed to making you successful!
