Responsibilities

Under close supervision, the Clinic Receptionist is responsible for compiling and maintaining records of charges for goods and services rendered and ensuring accurate and efficient charge entry at any health care facility.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate copies of medical documentation with physician charges to support billing to third-party payers.
  • File and enter billing for patients into system and analyzes patient accounts to ensure billing is accurate.
  • Resolve routine patient billing inquiries and problems,handling follow-up questions from patients, resolving discrepancies or errors.
  • Review medical coding as necessary and enters patient charges into billing applications.
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate effective customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

Healthcare experience
