Responsibilities
About the Role:
As an RN Clinical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our hospital. You will be responsible for providing unit-based clinical education, enhancing the quality and safety of patient care, and assisting the department manager in overseeing daily operations. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your clinical expertise and leadership skills to improve patient outcomes and foster a positive work environment.
Your Impact:
- Develop and deliver impactful clinical in-service training: Assess educational needs, create engaging programs, and ensure staff competency in all areas, including new employee orientation, competency validation, and new equipment/service training.
- Champion quality and safety: Coordinate clinical quality and patient safety activities, monitor patient outcomes, and identify areas for improvement. You will participate in performance improvement projects, conduct clinical audits, and implement corrective actions.
- Streamline daily operations: Assist the manager in overseeing daily unit operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resolving clinical, administrative, and operational issues. You will track key data, generate reports, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and support your team: Provide feedback for employee performance evaluations, focusing on competency levels and educational needs. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for your colleagues.
Qualifications
Preferred Experience:
While a strong clinical background is essential, we are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Family Birth Center or Emergency Room Medicine. This experience will be highly valuable in contributing to the success of our team.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and five years of progressively responsible related work experience, including at least one year of lead or charge RN experience.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or other healthcare-related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Current active Washington State RN license.
- Certification in specialty area to be obtained within one year of hire.
- Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver effective educational programs.
- Strong understanding of quality improvement methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
