Responsibilities

The IT Contract Manager has overall responsibility for developing and managing portfolio of all IT contracts, amendments, renewals, and transactions in an assigned category to ensure adherence to CommonSpirit policies and standards, to manage legal and business risk, and to achieve savings targets. The position requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, as well as a solid working knowledge of information technology and contract development and negotiation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Relationship Development
● Maintain solid working relationships with and facilitate coordination between IT, business, Legal, and vendor personnel.
● Proactively work with IT and business stakeholders to set appropriate expectations and guide contracting activities.
● Manage professional meetings and communications.

Contract Management
● Work collaboratively with IT, business leadership, finance, and Legal to ensure timely and well-coordinated development, negotiation, and processing of new contracts, contract amendments, renewals, and
transactions.
● Lead large, complex RFX initiatives, including coordination of all stakeholder groups.
● Independently prepare all necessary contract documents (utilizing approved contract templates).
● Oversee the required approval, signature, and storage processes to ensure adherence to CommonSpirit policiesand procedures.
● Provide direction to contract specialists on current priorities and help them manage their workload.

Vendor Relationship Management
● Develop and manage relationships with IT vendors to ensure effective development and handling of IT contracts, amendments, renewals, and transactions.
● Manage and coordinate communication between various CommonSpirit stakeholders and vendors.
● Resolve vendor issues regarding contracting activities.

Forecast, Utilization, and Savings Management
● Work with IT and business customers to identify opportunities for cost savings and cost avoidance.
● Ensure that identified cost savings and cost avoidances are properly documented in IT contracts, amendments, renewals, and transactions.
● Ensure all IT transactions processed reflect pricing that properly reflects what is documented in our agreements.

Process and Project Management
● Participate in (or lead) projects to improve internal business processes.
● Simultaneously manage multiple IT contracting requests for a variety of stakeholders, vendors, and contract/transaction types. Provide status updates and information to various stakeholders throughout the life of each request. Ensure each request progresses at a reasonable pace, meeting IT Contracting SLAs.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferred in Information Technology, Information Management, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration, OR 10 years of work experience in Contracting and Program Management in lieu of degree.
  • 5 years of work experience in Information Technology.
  • High level of professional knowledge in preparation of RFPs/RFIs, contracts, negotiations, and legal terminology.
  • Solid working knowledge of Information Technology and its use in business and/or healthcare settings.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
