Job Summary / Purpose
The Enterprise Communications Manager is responsible for creating and executing strategic communications for operational developments and enterprise-wide initiatives at the system level and throughout our regions and markets. This role serves as the communications link between the operational teams and the rest of the organization, stakeholders, and the public, ensuring accurate and timely communication of operational strategies, achievements and system-wide initiatives. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the regions and associated markets to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with the company's overall business strategies and objectives and adherence to system standards, practices, policies, and ways of working.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans that support operations and enterprise initiatives that align with the overall business strategies and objectives.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to understand and communicate operational strategies, initiatives, successes, and challenges effectively.
- Translate complex operations material into easily understood, compelling narratives for varied audiences.
- Coordinate with various company departments to ensure consistency in the communication of the company operations inclusive of financial communications, corporate strategy and healthcare operations.
- Oversee the creation of operations related communications, including executive presentations, internal updates, press releases, and digital content.
- Support crisis communications planning, execution, and response within the area of operations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of operational communications strategy and adapt as needed.
- Drive change management efforts across operations through tactical communications approaches.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in internal communication and share knowledge with the organization.
Qualifications
Required Education, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience with internal & external communications, employee engagement, public relations, or related roles.
- Proven experience leading operations or business communications across a complex distributed communications function.
- Proven ability to transform complex operational information into digestible, strategic communication.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with related industries and operations-specific challenges.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful internal communication strategies.
- Proficiency in digital communication platforms and tools.
- Strong understanding of healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices related to strategic communications.
