Responsibilities
This is a remote position.
The Sourcing and Contracting Analytics Manager is a highly analytical and results oriented individual that leads the development and implementation of data-driven strategies to improve efficiencies and optimize our Supply Chain sourcing and contracting analytics. This role is primarily responsible for the management of a team of Supply Chain Sr. Data Analysts and Data Analysts who are instrumental in identifying, quantifying and communicating cost savings. This includes training, performance monitoring, coordinating large analytics initiatives, developing standard approaches, templates and documentation to support the team. Collaborates with data leaders and data team to identify opportunities to improve data hygiene and cleanliness. Works with leaders and analysts in other functional areas to connect analysis and ensure consistency in measurement, reporting, and interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Data Analysts and Sr. Data Analysts
- Responsible for developing guidelines and standardized templates for data collection, processing and output storage
- Leverage data from various sources to identify trends, patters, and insights that inform sourcing and contracting strategies
- Collaborate with sourcing teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and improved supplier relationships through data analysis
- Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to identify areas for improvement, risk mitigation and cost optimization. Develop reporting to highlight key contract terms and performance
- Support contract negotiations to provide data insights to support negotiations with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions
- Identify and implement process improvements through analysis of existing processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains to streamline workflows and improve data quality
- Define project scope, set timelines, manage resources, and track progress on large analytics initiatives.
- Educate and provide support to the team in interpreting complex data insights and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management
- Monitoring analytics team quality and performance
- Establishing key performance indicators to measure the success of analytics output and analytics projects success.
- Analyzing analytics request trends to gain insights; developing solutions for team-wide challenges.
- Creating analytics training program, documentation and onboarding all new analysts
- Coordinates with analysts in other functional areas to standardize analytic approaches and ensure consistency in measurement, reporting, and interpretation
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in related field from four year college or university is required; Master's degree preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience and data experience preferred OR, Demonstrated management experience required
- Able to function independently, adapt quickly to changing environments and open to new ideas
- Capable of maintaining an independent perspective without losing collaborative nature, trust and respect
- Knowledge of advanced analytic tools and software
- Knowledge of databases and ability to extract, combine, and organize large data sets
- Superior analytical abilities, particularly in strategic business and financial analysis
- Ability to prepare quick pointed summaries for stakeholders
- Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people
- Knowledge of relevant analytical and statistical software
- Capability to translate the technical aspects of quality to what it means for the business, both top and bottom line
- Mathematical skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to financial cost analysis.
- Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Must be proficient with Word or Google Docs, Excel or Google Sheets, PowerPoint or Google Slides and Outlook or Google Calendar
