Sr Software Engineer
The posted compensation range of $46.96 - $68.10 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
- Performs project discovery in partnership with service lines, IT COEs, and business stakeholders. Guide the technical direction of the business segment to ensure it is in line with organizational priorities. Communicate with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure that their needs are met. Use domain expertise to create solutions and drive direction for projects and efforts.
- Ensure that solutions are aligned and comply with IT Policies, Business Practices, and Security Practices.
- Supports/maintains day-to-day existing functionality/programs/applications including systems support.
- Develop and train a team capable of supporting Philanthropy’s technical portfolio. Provide training and mentor other Engineers when required.
- Performs advanced system analysis and troubleshooting to implement new functionality/programs/applications, and to analyze/research vendor release notes and documentation; understanding complete end-to-end system integration.
- Understands system options and configurations completely and can suggest and lead teams through decisions on the best way to configure and utilize the system.
- Maintains complete and up-to-date project documentation for all assigned projects. Meeting with department heads on a routine basis to identify and prioritize their needs.
- Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for Philanthropy’s technical portfolio.
- Lead and participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-up, sprint review, and retrospective.
- Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy end to end DevOps solutions using Java, Spring, Angular and other related technologies..
- Write code and scripts (if required) to enhance or customize processes. Proficient in languages like Java, C#, Python, Angular, Spring or any scripting language relevant to the chosen technology.
- Support deployments or troubleshoot production issues and participate in an on-call rotation as-needed.
- Remote eligible.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a Healthcare environment at a senior level.
- 5+ years experience working in IT as a Software Engineer or equivalent software development role
- 2+ years experience with the Infinity SDK for Blackbaud CRM.
- 2+ years experience writing reports for Blackbaud CRM and Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge
- 2+ years experience using Brightvine’s Data Loader
- 2+ years experience using Zuri’s Velocity
- 2+ years experience in domain specific knowledge in fundraising and philanthropy.
- 2+ years experience designing and developing custom reports using Microsoft’s BI stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, etc.).
- 2+ years experience designing and developing data warehouses.
- 2+ years experience writing SQL (DML, DDL, Stored Procedures, Views, etc.).
- 2+ years experience in fundraising software (Blackbaud CRM, Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge)
- 2+ years experience designing dashboards and reports using current analytics technology (Tableau, PowerBI, or Google Looker)
- Proficiency in Java, Spring, Angular, and other relevant technologies.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Experience in a Healthcare environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
