Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
Responsible for the Epic Gold application and system, from implementation through optimization, maintenance, revision, and retirement of the originating platform. Adhering to accepted standards for application development and support. Effective and weekly communication hub for downstream Physician Enterprise (PE) Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) teams to include Finance and Operations learning effectiveness and knowledge transfer. Develops support and communication plans for the Epic Gold implementation and post GO LIVE. This includes user involvement in development, testing, documentation, training, and feedback. Participates in the governance and goal- setting processes with stakeholders that are inclusive and responsive with continuous improvement. Planning and communication to teams assuring timely completion of assigned goals and projects. Collaborates with multiple roles and leadership from all aspects of the business to assure that needs and measurement goals meet the needs of the business.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership and oversight for the PE RCM Epic Gold implementation and Post GO LIVE support including goal setting, training/development, communication, and effective measurement of the project. Stakeholders and partners include National leadership, market leadership and super users for all teams and users to learn and succeed in current roles. Creation of documentation, along with the training leads, for reference and decisions.
- Evaluate system functionality against the current business and operational needs for PE RCM, ensuring that Epic Gold meets the needs of PE RCM, our national leadership, and the division users. Future needs and metrics should be outlined and communicated to stakeholders for goal attainment for this and future implementations.
- Monitor activity and progress toward all goals for this project. Celebrate successful milestones and learn from challenges of the decisions made within the implementation. Creation of documentation to share for change management and future improvements.
- Ensure user needs are met with provided feedback through weekly updates. This allows for support and documentation of relevant questions and learning management, including the alignment of current processes and workflows to the future. Plan and communicate the change control processes. Adhere to applicable laws and regulations; associated with system implementation and ongoing support.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, finance, or other aligned field related to the duties of the position, and five years of related healthcare work experience (including data management and program management) that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates attainment of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position may be substituted for two years of the education requirement (associate degree in related field required).
Required Licensure and Certifications
- PMP certification. Epic certification.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
- Familiarity with physician or professional services billing is preferred.
- Strong business acumen and communication skills to include presentation, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills.
- Ability to complete tasks and escalate issues to the stakeholders and decision-makers as necessary.
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects, multiple (and sometimes conflicting) priorities and adapt to change.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, ability to troubleshoot, be proactive.
- Demonstrates qualities of assertiveness, a high sense of urgency, initiative (self-starter), effective communication skills including presentation skills, facilitation skills, and a positive attitude
