Responsibilities
The Radiographer l, under the general supervision of the Medical Imaging Management team and the direction of the Radiologist, is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging exams in accordance with California State and national license scope of practice. This role involves operating complex imaging equipment, both mobile and stationary, across various patient care settings to obtain accurate diagnostic images in at least one modality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures with precision and professionalism, adhering to established protocols and standards.
- Operate mobile and stationary imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Input and retrieve data from Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Picture Archival and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Efficiently manage assigned shifts, ensuring all job responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.
- Actively support the Mission and Core Values of Community Hospital of San Bernardino, demonstrating behavior aligned with the hospital's goals and quality care standards.
This position requires a commitment to service excellence, teamwork, and continuous quality improvement to support the strategic objectives and patient-centered mission of the Community Hospital of San Bernardino.
Qualifications
- California Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist Permit must be obtained within 6 months of hire date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate required.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification (either state or national where appropriate) in one advanced imaging modalities. May include: Radiology and Fluoroscopy (ARRT and CRT) Computed Tomography (CT- ARRT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR- ARRT) or Sonography (ARDMS). (i.e. Nuclear Medicine).
- Two (2) years experience in an acute care hospital setting performing a variety of general diagnostic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation is preferred. Experience with digital imaging systems PACS and basic health care informatics is desired.
- Graduate from an accredited JRCERT Medical Radiography School and have passed the entry-level radiography board examination from the ARRT.
- ACR recognized certifications from additional licensing authorities for Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging will be considered.
